About Me

My name is Carl Privette and I live in Anaheim Hills, just 15 minutes away from Chapman. My major is history, emphasis in U.S. History and I plan to minor in music. Well let's see, I used to live in Indiana for eight years before moving to California in November of 2000. Indiana was great except for the possible tornado and really humid summers. When I was a kid I used to play a lot of soccer and golf until I went into high school. I played recreational soccer for 5 years and played signature for one year and played a lot of golf on the side with my grandfather. I did not take any of those sports in high school because I was more worried about my academics than sports. Now I kind of regret not taking one of those sports in high school, so I plan to hopefully take one of them at Chapman. Some of my hobbies are reading, playing on my trumpet, listening to music, and hanging out with my friends. I like to play pickup basketball games when I have the time. I never was the best basketball player, but it is still fun just to play.

When I was at Canyon High School I was an active member of the musical department. I was in the marching band for four years, concert band one year, symphonic band two years, jazz band two years, brass choir three years, and orchestra three years. In my Senior year I was the Drum Major for the marching band; I basically stood on a podium and was the conductor during marching season in the fall semester of the school year. So, you could basically call me a band nerd.
